About

I'm Dean. I live on the NSW Central Coast and I work in data and AI.

I've been working with data for more than 12 years, mostly in financial services. Most of that has been reporting and analytics, and for a good part of it I've run the teams that do it.

These days my job is helping a business make better use of its data. I'm most interested in where AI fits into that, which is a lot of what I write about here.

I started this site as somewhere to put the things I build outside of work. It runs on a small PC at home. The same PC prints me a newspaper every morning, which is the first project on here. You'll find the rest under projects, and what I've learned along the way in the notes.
